Philip Sudell (Minister)

Philip has been in full time ministry for over 30 years but before that served as an engineer in the Royal Navy and taught maths in a comprehensive school in South London. 
He is married to Jo, with four children, and is an enthusiastic cyclist and hockey player.

Jess joined St Peters in 2026, after 7 years working in a secondary school in Southeast London. She also served as a missionary in the South of France, leading an English Conversation Café. Having been part of another Co-Mission church many years, she is delighted to remain involved in the Co-Mission family. Jess enjoys serving at youth camps and on tech at church. In her spare time, she loves walking, running, and finishing a cross-stitch.

John retired from full-time parish ministry in Hampshire in mid-2021, but loves to help out with leading and preaching and playing bass guitar from time to time at St Peter’s.  For 25 years John worked in financial services, but took early retirement in 1996 and then helped to found and teach in a Christian business school in Romania.  He was ordained in 2000.  John is married to Ann, and they have two children and nine grandchildren..

Clare Hendry

Clare has lived in North London since 1986 when she moved down to lecture at Oak Hill Theological College. In 2011 she moved from working at St James Muswell Hill to Grace Church (now St Peter's Church), where she works with women in the congregation and helps co-ordinate midweek groups (with her husband Steve). She has two children and in any spare time enjoys spending time with friends over food.

Sue attends St Peter's Church with her husband Simon. Sue is grateful for the ministry of Christian youth camps where she first understood the meaning of Jesus' life, death and resurrection. She helps with the children's work at Grace Gang on Sundays and Chat and Play toddler group in the week. She also works part time as a children's physiotherapist. Sue enjoys any chance to spend time in the countryside or the green spaces of London.

Linda Doyle (Churchwarden)

Linda and her family have been members of Grace Church (now St Peter's church) since its early beginning years. She has been teaching in North London for 20 years and at church often gets involved with hospitality events and holiday clubs. She loves using her long teaching holidays to travel, explore London and catch up with friends and family.

Andrew joined Grace Church (now St Peter's) whilst a student at Oak Hill College and has stayed since then. He helps with our youth group for 11 – 18s. His ‘day job’ involves seeking to speak about Jesus in public life – especially in the media, politics and the legal system.

Andrew was born and brought up in Muswell Hill where he became a Christian in his teens.  He, his wife Tracey and their four children have been members of Grace Church (now St Peter's Church) since it began.  Andrew works for the Christian charity where he is responsible for Risk and Compliance. Andrew is part of ‘Grace Gang’ teaching team, he enjoys swimming and escaping to the countryside with his family and collie.

Keith became a Christian as a teenager. He and his wife, Tamsin, have been members of Grace Church (now St Peter's since 2010). They have lived in Muswell Hill for twenty five years and have three children. Keith is now retired (but as busy as ever!), after twelve years as a finance director in the health service.

Itty Emwionkpa

Itty is originally from Edo state Nigeria and joined this church family in 2009. She is grateful to have attended church regularly right from her childhood and known this Awesome God without whom she's nothing. She attends St Peter's with her three children (Esosa, Etinosa and Efosa) and sometimes her husband too. She enjoys working with and teaching children hence she works in her local primary school and children's ministry in church. She enjoys reading, learning new things and unlearning when necessary.

Rebecca has lived at one end or other of Colney Hatch Lane for the last 20 years. She works part time as a health visitor in Haringey and enjoys getting to know people from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.
She says: "I came to faith in Christ as a teenager, but am grateful that God continues to change and challenge me, transforming the most stubborn of his adopted children to be more like his Son!"
Rebecca has been involved in women’s and children’s ministries over the years. She enjoys spending time with her daughters, reading, cycling, running and used to grow strange looking vegetables on her allotment.

Simon has a long history in church lay leadership which he is happy to regale to anyone who has the patience to listen!  He is extremely thankful that his teenage profession of faith has been honed and shaped by many wise and wonderful servants of Jesus over the years, in particular his wonderful wife Sue with whom he shares the joys of four adult children.  He now gives much of his time and business skills to help charities develop and thrive, following a long career working with multinational companies.  Music, yes please.

Michael Wright (Joint Treasurer)

Michael has been living in Muswell Hill since childhood and has been a Christian and attending St Peter's since then, when he also served as an altar boy and was confirmed at age 12. After studying and working away he returned to St Peter's around 2010 and has served on the PCC since 2014 and has been treasurer since 2016. He enjoys travelling and reading.
