In 2011 she moved from working at St James Muswell Hill to Grace Church (now St Peter's Church), where she works with women in the congregation and helps co-ordinate midweek groups (with her husband Steve). She has two children and in any spare time enjoys spending time with friends over food.

Beth is from New Zealand where she trained and worked as a social worker. She has been in London since 2022. She works as our church administrator keeping everything going behind the scenes! She is also involved in some pastoral work particularly among our children and young people. She loves to travel and explore and can often found with a jigsaw puzzle or out and about catching up with friends.

Church Safeguarding Officer

imageSusan Upcott

Sue attends St Peter's Church with her husband Simon. Sue is grateful for the ministry of Christian youth camps where she first understood the meaning of Jesus' life, death and resurrection. She helps with the children's work at Grace Gang on Sundays and Chat and Play toddler group in the week. She also works part time as a children's physiotherapist. Sue enjoys any chance to spend time in the countryside or the green spaces of London.

Church Council

imageSimon Upcott (Churchwarden)

Simon is one of our Churchwardens and has a long history in church lay leadership which he is happy to regale to anyone who has the patience to listen!  He is extremely thankful that his teenage profession of faith has been honed and shaped by many wise and wonderful servants of Jesus over the years, in particular his wonderful wife Sue with whom he shares the joys of four adult children.  He now gives much of his time and business skills to help charities develop and thrive, following a long career working with multinational companies.  Music, yes please.

imageStephen Hendry (Churchwarden)

Steve is originally from Banff (the original one in Scotland!). He moved down to London in 1984 to work as an engineer, and still works for the same international company, but now develops engineering software. He grew up in a Christian home. He is one of our churchwardens. He is married to Clare and has two children. He enjoys exploring London on his bike but has yet to entice his wife to join him!

imageMoji Agboola

Moji joined St Peter's in 2020 and has been actively involved in various areas of the church life, such as helping with the English conversation club, youth group, and the tech team. She grew up in a Christian environment, but only first understood the amazing news of the gospel at university, and this has shaped her life since then. She currently works as a software developer, and spends her free time meeting with friends, baking, painting and playing the guitar.

Alyson Coombs

Alyson has worshipped at St Peter's for 42 years, when she came to join her late husband James who was already worshipping here. St Peter's is very important to her, and she has served on the PCC, as a church warden and as PCC secretary over these years. Outreach is a passion of Alyson's, leading her to volunteer at community cafe, mums and toddlers and creche. In her spare time Alyson loves to see her grandson, sing (especially at church!) and knit.

imageAndrew Cusdin (Joint Treasurer)

Andrew was born and brought up in Muswell Hill where he became a Christian in his teens.  He, his wife Tracey and their four children have been members of Grace Church (now St Peter's Church) since it began.  Andrew works for the Christian charity where he is responsible for Risk and Compliance. Andrew is part of ‘Grace Gang’ teaching team, he enjoys swimming and escaping to the countryside with his family and collie.

They have lived in Muswell Hill for twenty five years and have three children. Keith is now retired (but as busy as ever!), after twelve years as a finance director in the health service.

She enjoys working with and teaching children hence she works in her local primary school and children's ministry in church. She enjoys reading, learning new things and unlearning when necessary.

imageAndrew Marsh (Lay Chair)

Andrew joined Grace Church (now St Peter's) whilst a student at Oak Hill College and has stayed since then. He helps with our youth group for 11 – 18s. His ‘day job’ involves seeking to speak about Jesus in public life – especially in the media, politics and the legal system.

imageSam Reeder

Sam grew up in London and joined Grace Church (now St Peter’s Church) with his family when it was planted: he has been a Christian all his life. After moving away to study physics, Sam returned to London and St Peter’s and has since become much more involved in church life. He is currently working towards a PhD in physics and likes to spend his free time catching up with friends and family.
